Kaizer Chiefs confirmed on Tuesday afternoon that their co-coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze have left the club after their two-year contracts expired.
Ben Youssef joined Chiefs at the beginning of the 2024/25 season while Kaze arrived in Naturena in October 2024. Initially, the two coaches served as Amakhosi former coach Nasreddine Nabi’s assistants until he left Chiefs in October last year.
After Nabi’s departure, the two coaches guided Chiefs to 54 points at the end of the season. This was Amakhosi’s second best points tally in the past 11 years.
They led Chiefs in 39 matches across the Betway Premiership, CAF Confederation Cup, Carling Knockout Cup and the Nedbank Cup, recording 19 wins, 11 draws and nine losses.
Meanwhile, Amakhosi also announced that their conditioning coach Majdi Safi has also left the team following the expiry of his contract.
