The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has announced that a moment of silence
will be observed for the late Kaizer Chiefs captain Johannes ‘Ryder’ Mofokeng.
The legendary Mofokeng, who made 332 appearances for Amakhosi between 1975 and 1985, passed away on Saturday aged 70.
The moment of silence will be observed in all DStv Premiership, GladAfrica Championship and DStv Diski Challenge matches.
The moment of silence will be observed together for the people who lost their lives to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mofokeng played a very important role at Chiefs leading the team to many trophies while playing alongside the likes of Jan ‘Malombo’ Lechaba, the late Patrick ‘Ace’ Ntsoelengoe, Joseph ‘Banks’ Setlhodi and Nelson ‘Teenage’ Dladla just to name a few.
