As Ricardo ‘Magic Man’ Malajika’s fight against Japanese boxer, Tomoya Tsuboi, is taking place on Sunday morning, South African time, reigning World Boxing Council (WBC) minimumweight champion, Siyakholwa Kuse, has wished his Brian Mitchell Boxing Academy stablemate good luck.
Malajika and Tsuboi are going to test each other’s fistic skills when they fight for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) junior-bantamweight title at the Tokyo Arena, Koto-Ku, Japan.
“I wish him all the best. Malajika must know that he is a visitor there and must not mind the fans during the fight. He must make sure that he beats the guy and not look down on him. He must also fight behind the jab and not mix with the guy,” the Mdantsane-born Kuse said.
Having won the International Boxing Organisation (IBO) junior-bantamweight and flyweight titles, the 28-year-old Malajika, who is on a nine-fight winning streak, will be out to add yet another belt to his collection. – Monwabisi Jimlongo
