Tanzanian giants, Young Africans, confirmed on Saturday evening that their coach Manqoba Mngqithi had been released with immediate effect.
The Mzimkhulu-born coach was released after Yanga drew with TRA United and dropped five points behind log-leaders, Simba SC, who are coached by Mngqithi’s South African compatriot, Steve Barker.
Mngqithi, a former Lamontville Golden Arrows and Mamelodi Sundowns mentor, led Yanga to 10 wins, two draws and a single loss while scoring 29 goals against the seven they conceded.
