Kaitano Tembo does not know what to expect when he leads his SuperSport United troops against Chippa United in a DStv Premiership match at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Wednesday (17h00).

The change in coaching at the Chilli Boys is what has made the Matsatsantsa a Pitori coach to be unsure about what the Port Elizabeth side will bring in Atteridgeville.

However, the former Matsatsantsa and Seven Stars defender is happy that his players didn’t lose their fitness during the Christmas break. Tembo’s players returned to training on Boxing Day.

‘‘I think the players didn’t really lose fitness, physically they were in very good condition,’’ said Tembo.

‘‘The game came at a very difficult time, at the same time we are playing against team that has made changes in their technical team. We don’t really have an idea of how they are going to approach this game.

‘‘It’s a home game for us, we have to go out there and impose ourselves because we are playing at home. What is key is for us to
impose our game from the beginning. Our game makes us to play to our full potential.’’

Matsatsantsa have a hectic schedule as they are going to play seven matches – against Chilli Boys, TS Galaxy (Saturday, 9 January),
Bloemfontein Celtic (Wednesday, 13 January), Mamelodi Sundowns
(Saturday, 16 January), AmaZulu (Wednesday, 20 January), Tshakhuma
Tsha Madzivhandila (Sunday, 24 January) and Swallows FC (Saturday, 30
January).

‘‘We have been preparing for this month way before. We are gonna be playing games in a short space of time. There is not gonna be much training, we just have to manage players properly. We have a very good
squad, very disciplined,’’ said Tembo.

Matsatsantsa are third on the Premiership standings with 15 points after winning five times and losing twice.

On the other hand, the Chilli Boys are 14th on the log with five points from eight matches. They have won once, drawn twice and lost five times.
