Swallows FC flew into the semi-finals of the MTN8 following a 2-1 win over Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday evening.
Swallows striker Ruzaigh Gamildien netted a brace while Kabelo Dlamini scored for the Buccaneers.
Both Pirates and Swallows created numerous goalscoring opportunities during the match.
The Dube Birds have now joined Lamontville Golden Arrows, who reached the competition’s last four after they beat SuperSport United 4-3 on penalties earlier on Saturday. Arrows and Matsatsantsa a Pitori drew 2-2 after extra time.
