Things are happening thick and fast at East London promotional outfit Rumble Africa Promotions (RAP).
It was revealed on Friday that RAP is negotiating with the camp of reigning International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior-flyweight champion Felix Alvarado for a fight against Sivenathi ‘Special One’ Nontshinga.
The unbeaten Nontshinga, 22, earned the right to challenge the Nicaraguan after he outpointed Filipino boxer Christian ‘The Bomb’ Araneta in Gqeberha in April this year.
Nontshinga’s win over Araneta took him to the number one rating in the IBF junior-flyweight division.
Meanwhile, Alvarado, 32, stopped Puerto Rican Israel Vazquez in the first round in a non-title fight last month.
