Replicating Wednesday’s performance, which gave Kaizer Chiefs a 1-0 win over AmaZulu at King’s Park in Durban, is what Amakhosi need going forward.
Chiefs are on the road yet again facing Cape Town City in a DStv Premiership fixture at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday (17h00) with their defender Daniel Cardoso looking forward to yet another win.
‘‘Reflecting on the performance against AmaZulu, I thought it was a very, very good game. You could see that the whole team was fighting. The fighting spirit we showed was important to boost our morale,’’ Cardoso said.
‘‘It was a tough game, hopefully we can move on. We hope to go to our game against Cape Town City, another very tough game, not an easy one and collect three points. I hope if we can put up another fighting spirt like we did against AmaZulu we should walk away victorious. We hope to go to the game and come out of what we have been going through.’’
The 32-year-old Cardoso played in midfield against Usuthu and his coach Gavin Hunt was impressed with his performance.
Chiefs have had a very bad start to the season winning only twice, drawing four times and losing four matches. And they are 10th on the Premiership table with 10 points from 10 games.
