Mandla Ncikazi is quietly doing his job at Lamontville Golden Arrows after the Abafana Bes’thende coach ensured yet another win for the Durban side on Saturday.
Abafana Bes’thende beat Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila 1-0 through Velemseni Ndwandwe’s goal in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu to make it four wins and six draws with 18 points in the bag.
‘‘I thought it’s a game where we missed so many chances. We should have scored more goals,’’ said Ncikazi.
‘‘The opponents had an opportunity to come back. It was close, but still proud we got the points. I just wish we could take the opportunities so many that come our way.
‘‘I’m still proud of the team’s fighting spirit, being economical at the back, I’m proud of my defence. It’s work in progress, the players are working hard as a group, I’m proud for now.’’
Abafana Bes’thende are going to take their unbeaten run to the Orlando Stadium in Soweto where they meet Orlando Pirates on Wednesday (17h00).
