With the president of the Council for Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) Phillip Chiyangwa not standing for re-election, South Africa’s Danny Jordaan and Artur de Almeida e Silva will compete to lead the regional body. 

South African Football Association (SAFA) president Jordaan and his Angola Football Federation counterpart go head-to-head during the COSAFA elections in Mbabane, eSwatini, on Sunday, 19 December. 

The elective general assembly is going to take place a day after the final of the COSAFA Men’s Under-20 Championship, which starts on Friday, 10 December until the 18th.

Meanwhile, Comoros Football Federation president Said Ali Said Athouman stands unopposed for the position of COSAFA vice-president.
