The South African Football Association (SAFA) is considering options after FIFA dismissed its protest.

SAFA lodged a protest with FIFA following Bafana Bafana’s 1-0 loss to Ghana in a 2022 World Cup qualifier last month. SAFA protested over the manner in which Senegalese referee Maguette Ndiaye handled the match.

FIFA sent a one-liner through chairman of its disciplinary committee Jorge Palacio saying that SAFA’s protest was inadmissible.

“We have received she decision without details and we will request FIFA for the reasons and consider our options,” SAFA chief executive officer Tebogo Motlanthe said.
