Sunny Edwards made a successful defence of his International Boxing Federation (IBF) flyweight title when he defeated Filipino boxer Jayson Mama at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday evening.
All three judges gave Edwards from the United Kingdom the nod with 117-110 and 118-109 on two score cards.
This was unbeaten Edwards’ first defence of the crown he won when he dethroned Moruti Mthalane in April. On the other hand, Mama suffered his first loss in 17 fights.
