Owen da Gama is impressed with TS Galaxy midfielder Masilakhe Phohlongo.
The 23-year-old former Ajax Cape Town player announced his arrival at the Rockets with a goal during their 1-1 draw with Orlando Pirates at the Orlando Stadium on Tuesday.
“When I saw him at training I realised that there’s something special. He played his first match in five months and scored. You look at the history of the boy, he was suppose to be this big talent. I’m very pleased with him,” Da Gama said.
Phohlongo is expected to be key when the Rockets face Black Leopards at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday (17h00).
“I believe it’s going to be a hard game against Black Leopards. We will try to approach it the best possible way,” the former Highlands Park and Platinum Stars coach said.
