Chippa United coach Daniel ‘Dance’ Malesela has sent his condolences to the family of departed former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Motjeka ‘Ace’ Madisha.
The former Bafana Bafana defender passed away after his car caught fire following an accident in Zuurfontein Road, Chloorkop, on 12 December.
Pathologists confirmed last week through DNA tests that indeed Madisha had died. Madisha’s childhood friend Thabang Martin Kakase also died in the crash.
“You feel for the family. I’m happy that they confirmed so that they can have closure. One can just ask them to be strong and also somehow try to manage their loss. I know I lost a son two years ago, I know how it feels. I hope that they get strong. May the good Lord make them strong,” Malesela said.
Madisha made his Sundowns debut during a goalless draw with Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium on 14 September 2016. He went on to play 123 matches and scored six goals for the Brazilians.
Madisha is going to be laid to rest in Ga-Madisha Leolo, Zebediela, in Limpopo on Saturday, 6 February.
