Log-leaders Mamelodi Sundowns’ impressive run continued when they came from behind to beat Stellenbosch FC 2-1 in a DStv Premiership fixture at the Danie Craven Stadium in the Cape Winelands on Saturday afternoon.

Stellies thought they had figured Sundowns out when they scored through Stanley Dimgba in the 33rd minute. However, their lead was cancelled in the 51st minute when Gaston Sirino netted for the Brazilians.

In-form Namibian-born striker Peter Shalulile scored at the death to give the Tshwane giants yet another win to stretch their unbeaten run to 17 games. The Brazilians have won 11 matches and drawn six times.

Sundowns have scored 28 goals and conceded eight in the 17 matches they have played this season. The Brazilians have taken six points off Stellies having beaten the Cape Winelands side 3-0 in a first round match played in Pretoria earlier this season.
