True to form, Chippa United chairman Siviwe ‘Chippa’ Mpengesi has shown coach Dan Malesela the door for the umpteenth time.
A 5-1 whipping by Maritzburg United on Saturday resulted in Malesela, who rejoined the Chilli Boys in December, getting the boot.
The struggling Chilli Boys have not won a match in more than two months. Their last win was a 3-0 victory over Black Leopards.
The former Manning Rangers, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates defender is the second coach to bite the dust at the Chilli Boys this season. Lehlohonolo Seema, who is now with Black Leopards, was the first coach to be fired by the Gqeberha-based club.
The Chili Boys consistently refused to comment on Malesela while the coach was unavailable on Sunday. Malesela has been fired by the Chilli Boys more than twice before.
