A magnificent innings by Pakistan opening batsmen Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan steered the Pakistanis to a nine wickets victory over the Proteas with two overs to spare in the third Twenty20 international in Centurion on Wednesday. 
Chasing 204 runs to win after the Proteas had scored 203 in 20 overs, Azam and Rizwan showed South African bowlers no mercy as they raced to a 197-run partnership. The Pakistanis scored 205 runs for one wicket. 
A merciless Azam knocked 122 runs off 59 deliveries hitting 15 boundaries and four sixes. On the other hand, Rizwan hit 73 after facing 47 balls. Meanwhile, Aiden Markram scored 63 runs in 31 balls and Janneman Malan knocked 55 off 40 deliveries during the Proteas’ innings.
The Pakistanis lead 2-1 going to the fourth and final T20 match set for Centurion on Friday.
