Rumble Africa Promotions (RAP) chairman Teris Ntutu is going to petition the International Boxing Federation (IBF) and ask the chiefs at the New Jersey-based organisation to intervene in the on-going visa problems Ntutu, Mzamo ‘Chief’ Njekanye and Yanga Gingxana are experiencing in their quest to travel to the United States with Azinga ‘Golden Boy’ Fuzile.
Former South African featherweight champion Fuzile has a date with Briton Martin Ward in an IBF junior-lightweight eliminator at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, 29 May.
Ntutu, Njekanye and Gingxana have found it difficult to secure American visas thus the RAP boss is going to seek IBF intervention.
“Azinga’s got it. It’s on its way now. The problem is still with Chief, myself and Yanga. So we are waiting on Matchroom as they promised to fix it. But if today (Monday) and tomorrow (Tuesday) there is no clear indication we are going to write to both IBF and Matchroom,” Ntutu revealed.
Fuzile’s fight against Ward is promoted by Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing and is on the undercard of the clash between current World Boxing Council (WBC) lightweight champion Devin Haney from the US and Venezuelan Jorge Linares.
