Kaizer Chiefs’ preparations for the 2021/22 season have started as they have confirmed that Jardel Rodrigues Afonso Nazaré from São Tomé and Principe is training with them.
Signing the 26-year-old Nazaré, who last played for FC Saburtalo Tbilisi in Georgia, would be a huge boost for Amakhosi.
Chiefs have struggled throughout the season and the fact that they are 10th on the DStv Premiership standings with 30 points from 27 games bears testimony to that.
Meanwhile, the São Tomé and Principe defender-cum-midfielder also has Portuguese citizenship.
