Mamelodi Sundowns’ habit of winning the championship continued when they won the DStv Premiership following a 3-1 victory over neighbours SuperSport United at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Wednesday evening.
The Brazilians’ goals came from Lebogang Maboe, Aubrey Modiba and Themba Zwane while Teboho Mokoena netted for Matsatsanta a Pitori. Sundowns have collected 60 points from 27 games.
Matsatsantsa’s problems started as early as the seventh minute when match referee Victor Gomes reduced them to 10 men following a red card to Guily Manziba.
The Brazilians, who are left with three games before they wrap up the season, are now the first team to win league titles in four successive seasons.
