Ben Mtyaliselo believes his son Luzuko Siyo is almost there with his readiness for his fight against Sanele Magwaza.
Siyo challenges World Boxing Federation(WBF) Africa bantamweight champion Magwaza at the Nangoza Jebe Hall in New Brighton, Gqeberha, on Sunday, 27 June.
Mtyaliselo and Jahman Magatya continue to prepare Siyo in Magatya’s gym in Mdantsane.
“We are working very hard for this fight. Remember, I had problems with my gym, but that has not stopped us from preparing for this fight. We have been using Jahman’s gym. Luzuko is going to be ready for Magwaza that I can tell you,” Mtyaliselo said.
This fight is going to give Siyo, a former South African junior-flyweight champion, a chance for redemption. Siyo promised much in the early years of his career, but has never fulfilled his true potential.
Meanwhile, Nozipho Bell from Gqeberha faces Capetonian Ntombokuqala Tolashe in a vacant SA female junior-lightweight title fight on the same bill.
