Sharks fullback Aphelele Fassi scored a try on debut during the Springboks’ 40-9 win over Georgia during a Test match played at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Friday evening.
Playing as a wing, Qonce-born Fassi crossed the try line in the fifth minute. The Boks, who were playing their first match in 20 months, scored six tries through Fassi, Bongi Mbonambi, Cobus Reinach, Kwagga Smith, Herschel Jantjies and Malcolm Marx.
Handre Pollard converted four times and Elton Jantjies added one conversion. On the other hand, Tedo Abzhandadze converted three penalties for Georgia.
