Ivory Coast Under-23s had a perfect start at the Tokyo Olympics beating Saudi Arabia 2-1 at the Yokohama International Stadium in Japan on Thursday afternoon.

The West Africans’ strikes came from Saudi Arabia defender Abdulelah Alamri’s own goal in the 39th minute and Franck Kessie in the 66th minute.

The Asians’ goal was scored by Salem Aldawsari a minute before half time.

Ivory Coast were reduced to 10 men when Aboubacar Doumba was red carded in added time.
