The Springboks avenged last weekend’s 22-17 loss to the British and Irish Lions beating them 27-9 at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday evening.
It was an improved performance from the Boks compared to how they fared against the visitors at the same venue last weekend.
The visitors led 9-6 at half time hoping to win again just like they did last weekend. But the Boks had other ideas as they scored two tries through Sharks teammate Makazole Mapimpi and Lukhanyo Am.
Boks flyhalf Handre Pollard contributed 17 points in the form of five penalties and a conversion while Dan Biggar converted three penalties for the visitors.
