The Springboks clinched the series 2-1 after they beat the British and Irish Lions 19-16 in the third and final Test match at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday evening. 
The visitors led 10-6 at half time only for the Boks to come back a little bit stronger in the second stanza. 
Both sides scored one try each with Cheslin Kolbe crossing the try line for the Boks while Ken Owens did the same for the British and Irish Lions. 
Handre Pollard contributed eight points with a conversion and two penalties and Morne Steyn added two penalties. 
The British and Irish Lions’ other points came from Finn Russell’s conversion and three penalties.
