Siphiwe ‘Matukuza’ Lusizi is gearing up for his comeback fight against Darrin Rossouw.
Five months after he started training, Lusizi feels ready to get into the ring and do the business for the first time since his last fight in December 2016.
The 2012 Olympian from Mdantsane is going to collide with Rossouw on Heritage Day.
“It’s finally happening. I’m going to fight against Rossouw from Gqeberha on the 24th of next month. I’m very happy that I’m going to fight again. I have missed fighting and I can’t wait to get into the ring again,” Lusizi said.
The 32-year-old Lusizi, who has won all his five fights, is returning from a premature retirement and has been training under Amanda Magatya at United Boxing Gym in Mdantsane.
Meanwhile, Rossouw is a novice with two fights and two wins under his belt. His last fight was against Angolan boxer Sambi Ali in Cape Town in March.
