Eastern Cape club Chippa United have unveiled their new kit for the 2021/22 season.
The Chilli Boys, who unveiled their new kit in Gqeberha on Thursday, open their DStv Premiership campaign with an away clash against newcomers Sekhukhune United at the Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa, Ekurhuleni, on Saturday (15h00).
The Chilli Boys have also unveiled their new players with former Mamelodi Sundowns duo Phakamani Mahlambi and Mogakolodi Ngele among the new signings.
Gqeberha-based Chilli Boys have also signed Azola Matrose (Walmer), Jenovane September (Booysens Park), Kewen Prince, Zuko Mdunyelwa, Jemondre Dickens, Veluyeke Zulu, Aboubacar Sangare from Jomo Cosmos, Lubeni Haukongo, Tebogo Makobela, Namibian Loydt Kazapua, former BIack Leopards striker Rodney Ramagalela, Sammy Seabi and Siphesihle Mkhize. Both Seabi and Mkhize were signed from Sundowns.
Mahlambi was on loan at AmaZulu from Sundowns last season, but things didn’t work out well for him at Usuthu.
On the other hand, Ngele from Botswana played for Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (now Marumo Gallants) last season.
Both Mahlambi and Ngele have worked with Chilli Boys coach Gavin Hunt while he was coaching Bidvest Wits.
