Siseko ‘Majayivana’ Makeleni wants South African junior-welterweight champion Prince Dlomo to pay for what he did to Xolisani ‘Nomeva’ Ndongeni and Xolani ‘Tiger’ Mcotheli.
Dlomo caused a stir in South African boxing circles when he stunned former world champion Ndongeni with a sixth round stoppage in October last year.
As if stopping Ndongeni was not enough, Dlomo went on to dethrone Mcotheli in March this year something, which has never sat well with Eastern Cape boxing followers.
And now Makeleni from Mthatha has taken it upon himself to go fight with Dlomo in an effort to restore the dignity of Eastern Cape boxing.
“Dlomo owes us. I’m going there to take what belongs to the Eastern Cape. I’m neither worried nor scared of him,” Makeleni said.
“He will regret having beaten Nomeva and Tiger. I’m going there to avenge what he did to Nomeva and Tiger.”
The fight between Dlomo and Makeleni is scheduled for Sunday, 26 September at the Booysens Boxing Gym in Johannesburg. The tournament is going to be promoted by the Gauteng Boxing Promoters Association (GBPA).
