Keagan Dolly reckons that Kaizer Chiefs players should be proud of themselves after they registered their first win of the season following a 2-1 win over Baroka FC in a DStv Premiership encounter at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec on Wednesday evening.
The 28-year-old Chiefs midfielder had a great game in so much that he walked away with the man-of-the-match award.
“When I got back l was a bit unfit. My teammates and technical staff helped me a lot back to full fitness even though I’m not there yet,” he said.
Coming to the match against Bakgaga Ba Mphahlele, Dolly said: “The boys made it easy for me. You could see we really worked hard off the field.”
Amakhosi did exceptionally well in the first half and it looked like they were going to bury Bakgaga under an avalanche of goals, but poor finishing let them down.
“First half we stuck to our basics and we kept it simple, we kept moving. I think we should be proud of ourselves. We got the three points and we created opportunities that we should have scored. I think there’s a lot to take from this game,” the former Mamelodi Sundowns and Ajax Cape Town midfielder said.
