Saturday’s DStv Premiership encounter between Chippa United and Orlando Pirates at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha offers Chilli Boys captain Riaan Hanamub an opportunity to redeem himself.
The Namibian gave away a penalty after handling the ball inside the box during the Chilli Boys’ 1-0 loss to Royal AM last Saturday. Victor Letsoalo converted the penalty to hand the Chilli Boys their first loss this season.
“The mood is always high. We needed to keep our heads up. The coach has been telling us to play behind the spaces and exploit more on the wide areas,” Hanamub said.
The 26-year-old Brave Warriors defender from Otavi in Namibia understands the importance of bouncing back after last weekend’s loss to Royal AM.
“We came back from a loss, so three points would be a major boost for us in terms of the log. If we get three points we will be up there and get the ball rolling,” Hanamub remarked.
The Buccaneers go to Saturday’s following a 1-0 win over Swallows FC last Saturday.
