The last 28 minutes of the DStv Premiership match between Swallows FC and SuperSport United were very painful for the Dube Birds as Matsatsantsa a Pitori whipped them 3-0 at the Dobsonville Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Matsatsantsa’s goals were scored by Jamie Webber, Teboho Mokoena and Thamsanqa Gabuza in the second half.

Matsatsantsa were the better team in the first 20 minutes of the match. However, the Dube Birds picked themselves up and started attacking.

Swallows’ Keletso Makgalwa had a brilliant opportunity in the 28th minute, but tripped on the ball.

On the other hand, Swallows goalkeeper Virgil Vries was called in to make a number of saves with Gabuza and Iqraam Rayners raiding his line. It was goalless at the end of the first half.

Matsatsantsa came with guns blazing at the beginning of the second half. It wasn’t long before Matsatsantsa scored their first goal through Webber in the 62nd minute.

Webber netted from the penalty spot after Swallows defender Sipho Sibiya had handled inside the box.

A minute later, Mokoena made it 2-0 as Swallows players were still half asleep.

It became one way traffic after that as Matsatsantsa camped inside the Swallows territory.

Sibiya gave away a second penalty after he pushed Webber inside the box. Gabuza made no mistake from the spot kick to make it 3-0.
