Kholosa Ndobayini and her adversary Bonita van Jaarsveldt are finally going to meet on Friday after weeks of preparing for their clash.

Ndobayini defends her South African female lightweight title against Van Jaarsveldt at a tournament promoted by Joyce Kungwane’s TLB Boxing Promotions at the Meropa Casino in Polokwane.

Qumbu-born Ndobayini goes into the fight having suffered losses in her last three fights. Her last loss was against Hannah Rankin from Glasgow in Scotland in March while Van Jaarsveldt lost to Matshidiso Mokebisi in June.

Interestingly, Ndobayini and Van Jaarsveldt have fought the same boxers. Both have fought and lost to Mokebisi.

The two boxers have also clashed against Raider Muleba with Ndobayini beating her three times while Van Jaarsveldt defeated her twice.

Meanwhile, former World Boxing Federation (WBF) and SA bantamweight female champion Bukiwe Nonina from Dutywa in the Eastern Cape clashes with Capetonian Ntombokuqala Tolashe in an eight-round junior-lightweight bout.
