It’s fight on as common ground has been found paving the way for Phila Mpontshane’s title defence against Sibusiso Zingange.

Ink Sport can reveal that Mpontshane’s manager Andy Mtshotshisa and Bonglez Boxing Promotions have agreed on a better purse, which has left both camps happy.

Now Mpontshane is going to make a fifth defence of his South African junior-lightweight title when he faces Zingange at the Booysens Boxing Gym on Sunday, 12 December.

Initially, Zingange lodged a challenge in August, but Boxing South Africa (BSA) rejected him at the time because he had lost his last two fights to Tanzanian Class Mgender and Albert Batyrgaziev from Russia.

Zingange became eligible to challenge Mpontshane after he beat Anthony Maloisane in September.
