Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies are the inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League winners after they defeated Hasaacas Ladies from Ghana 2-0 at the 30 June Stadium in Cairo, Egypt, on Friday evening.
Chuene Mofiri and Andisiwe Mgcoyi scored in each half to give Sundowns the win.
Mofiri put the Brazilians ahead in the 34th minute and Mgcoyi scored the Brazilians’ second goal 30 minutes later.
Meanwhile, Sundowns are the only club to have won a continental title with both a men’s and women’s sides.
