Scot Nathaniel Collins handed Thembani Mbangatha his first loss when he defeated him during their fight at the Bolton Whites Hotel, Bolton, in the United Kingdom, on Friday evening.

And in the process, the 25-year-old Collins from Bearsden, Scotland, retained his Commonwealth featherweight title with a ninth round knockout victory.

Collins, who went into the fight on eight wins and three knockouts, decked Mbangatha with a left, right combination. Mbangatha, who was stopped for the first time in his career, failed to beat the count and picked up his first loss against 11 wins.

Meanwhile, Collins is now going to fight against unbeaten Raza Hamza from Birmingham in Paisley, Scotland, on 11 March 2022.
