Tunisia turned their Africa Cup of Nations tournament around when they trounced Mauritania 4-0 in a Group F match at Limbe Omnisport Stadium, Limbe, Cameroon on Sunday evening. 

The Carthage Eagles led 2-0 at half-time through Hamza Matlhouthi’s fourth minute goal and Wahbi Khazri’s strike five minutes later. 

Khazri completed his brace in the 64th minute to make it 3-0. Seifeddine Jaziri put the matter beyond the Mauritanians when he scored Tunisia’s fourth goal in the 66th minute. 

The Carthage Eagles lost their opening match 1-0 to Mali’s Eagles while the Mauritanians lost by the same scoreline to Gambia.  

Meanwhile, Tunisia are going to clash against Gambia and Mali will face Mauritania in the group’s final matches.
