Zimbabwe beat Guinea 2-1 in an Africa Cup of Nations Group B match at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaounde, Cameroon, on Tuesday evening.

Knowledge Musona and Kudakwashe Mahachi scored for the Warriors while Naby Keita netted Syli National’s goal.

The win, however, didn’t help Zimbabwe’s cause as they finished last in the group. This was Zimbabwe’s first victory at the AFCON tournament since 2006.

Meanwhile, Malawi and Senegal drew goalless in another Group B final match at the Kouekong Stadium in Bafoussam, Cameroon.

The Flames thought they had a penalty when Gomezgani Chirwa was fouled inside the box. After consulting VAR, Cameroon referee Ngwa Blaise Yuven decided against awarding Malawi the spot kick.
