The Carthage Eagles of Tunisia have joined Burkina Faso in the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

This follows after the Carthage Eagles beat the Nigerian Super Eagles 1-0 at the Roumde Adjia Stadium in Garoua on Sunday evening.

Youssef Msakni’s goal in the 47th minute proved enough to take the Tunisians to the last eight of the competition. 

Meanwhile, the Stallions of Burkina Faso reached the quarter-finals after they beat Gabon 7-6 on penalties. 

The last-16 match was decided on penalties after the two sides had drawn 1-1 in two hours of footbalI.
