Mamelodi Sundowns won their fifth straight league title following a goalless draw with Cape Town City in a DStv Premiership clash at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Wednesday evening.

The Tshwane giants, who have won 12 league titles since the inception of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) in 1996, are now left with four matches before they wrap up their successful season.

The Brazilians enjoyed the lion’s share of possession and also had more shots on target compared to their opponents.

Meanwhile, Sundowns have won 17 matches, drawn seven and lost twice, scoring 50 goals and conceding 14 this season.
