The Proteas have taken a 1-0 lead in the three-Test series against England.

This comes after the Proteas defeated England by an innings and 12 runs in the first Test match played at Lord’s. The Proteas took only three days to win the first Test as they bowled their opponents out for 149 in 37,4 overs in the second innings on Friday. 

Anrich Nortje took three wickets and gave away 47 runs in seven overs while Kagiso Rabada, Keshav Maharaj and Marco Jansen claimed two wickets each. 

Rabada took seven wickets overall after claiming five from 19 overs in England’s first innings. England were bowled for 165 in the first innings while the Proteas were 326 all out in the first innings.
