Johannesburg-based Free State boxer Lerato ‘Lights Out’ Dlamini is going to fight two times in different continents in a space of 15 days.

Dlamini faces Jelbirt Gomera from the Philippines in a Dream Team Promotions tournament set for PACOFS in Bloemfontein this coming Friday.

After that, Dlamini will fight in a vacant International Boxing Organisation (IBO) featherweight title contest against James ‘Jazza’ Dickens at Olympia, Liverpool, United Kingdom, on Saturday, 15 October.

“We are doing both fights. The Act is quite clear that it’s 14 days between bouts depending on the punishment index. We will take care of the business on Friday and then we are off to Liverpool,” Dlamini’s trainer Colin ‘Nomakanjani’ Nathan revealed.

Meanwhile, the 31-year-old Dickens from Liverpool has failed twice in his attempts to win world titles in the past.

Dickens lost to Cuban Rigondeaux Guillermo when he challenged for the World Boxing Association (WBA) ‘Super’ junior-featherweight title in July 2016.

He also failed in his attempt to annex the International Boxing Federation (IBF) featherweight crown in August last year losing to Doha-born British boxer Abdul-Bari Awad popularly known as Kid Galahad.

Dickens, however, came back and registered a fifth round stoppage win over 37-year-old Spaniard Andoni Gago Lopez in April this year.
