Free State boxer Lerato ‘Lights Out’ Dlamini and his adversary Jelbirt Gomera from the Philippines are ready to collide with each other.

The two boxers, who made the required weight on Thursday, clash in an international featherweight bout over 10 rounds at PACOFS, Bloemfontein, on Friday evening.

This bout forms part of the tournament, which is going to be promoted by Lebo Mahoko’s Dream Team Promotions.

Dlamini needs to put up a beautiful performance, especially now that he has signed to fight for the International Boxing Organisation (IBO) featherweight title in two weeks’ time.

Johannesburg-based Dlamini, who is originally from Thabong in Welkom, is due to fight against Englishman James ‘Jazza’ Dickens in Liverpool, England, on Saturday, 15 October.

Meanwhile, reigning South African middleweight champion John ‘Section 29’ Bopape clashes with Mbiya Kanku from the Democratic Republic of Congo in the main supporting bout.
