Orlando Pirates have signed Coton Sport de Garoua striker Marou Souaibou to strengthen their firepower upfront.
Cameroon’s kick442.com broke the story of 21-year-old Souaibou’s signing by the Buccaneers on Friday. It’s been reported that Pirates paid $200 000 (about R3,5 million).
Souaibou scored 21 goals in all competitions last season and was the recipient of the Footballer of the Year award. Souaibou, who captained Coton Sport in the last two seasons, will be able to join Pirates after the FIFA World Cup finals in Qatar as he is in the Indomitable Lions’ squad.
