Kaizer Chiefs captain Itumeleng Khune has put Amakhosi’s 4-0 drubbing by AmaZulu behind him and is now focusing on Saturday’s clash against Mamelodi Sundowns.

Amakhosi welcome the log-leading Tshwane giants in a DStv Premiership encounter at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec, Johannesburg, at 20h00 on Saturday.

“I think as players it was a difficult pill to swallow after our results against AmaZulu. Going into this week, we told ourselves as hard as it is, we just have to put it behind us and start focusing on our next important home match against Mamelodi Sundowns because we have to go out there and get the result that we want, which is a win at home,” Khune said.

With Chiefs having lost their last two matches against AmaZulu and Sekhukhune United, Khune said: “It’s very important that we forget about the past, we focus on the future.”
