Amajita have had a bad start at the Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Algeria as they were beaten 2-0 by Morocco at the Stade Mohamed-Hamlaoui in Algiers on Sunday evening.

After holding on and playing a goalless draw in the first half, coach Duncan Crowie’s boys cracked allowing the Moroccans to score two goals in the second stanza.

The Moroccans were awarded a penalty after Benjamin Wallis had handled the ball inside the box. Ait Boudlal converted from the penalty spot in the 73rd minute and Adam Hanin scored the Moroccans’ second goal seven minutes before full-time.
