Flyhalf Handre Pollard has been called up to the Springboks squad at the Rugby World Cup in France.

Pollard will join the Boks on Monday in place of hooker Malcolm Marx, who was ruled out of the tournament following a knee injury.

The 29-year-old Pollard, who was born in Somerset West, was left out of the Boks squad after he picked up a calf injury. He returned to action for Leicester on Friday.
