Landile ‘Man Down’ Ngxeke outpointed Filipino opponent Denmark Quibido to retain his World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Global bantamweight title at the Orient Theatre in East London on Sunday evening.

After decking Quibido in the third round, Ngxeke cruised to victory as the three judges gave him the nod.

Two of the judges saw it the same way as Clifford Mbelu and Jaap van Niewehuizen’s score cards read 97-92 while Sipho Ndongeni scored it 100-89.

This was the second time that Quibido lost a fight in a South Africa having been beaten by Sikho Nqothole at The Galleria in Sandton, Johannesburg, in October last year.
