Argentina reached the semi-finals of the 2023 Rugby World Cup after they beat Wales 29-17 at Stade de Marseille, Marseille, in France on Saturday evening. 

The Los Pumas, who scored two tries against Wales’ two, came from behind to snatch the famous victory. Joel Sclavi and Nicolas Sanchez scored Argentina’s tries while Dan Biggar and Tomos Williams crossed the try line for the Welsh.

Winger Emiliano Boffelli contributed 14 points – four penalties and two conversions – and Sanchez converted one penalty. 

And apart from scoring a try, Biggar succeeded with two conversions and a penalty.
