Heinrich Klaasen smashed 109 from 67 deliveries as the Proteas beat England by 229 runs in a 2023 Cricket World Cup match at the Wankhede Stadium Mumbai, India, on Saturday. 

The Proteas set England a mammoth task after they knocked 399 for seven in 50 overs. Chasing 400 runs to win, England were bowled out for 170 runs from 22 overs. 

Reeza Hendricks supported Klaasen with his 85 runs after he faced 75 balls. Marco Jansen smashed 75 from 42 balls and Rassie van der Dussen hit 60 runs from 61 deliveries.
