Following Saturday’s virtual meeting, the outgoing board of Boxing South Africa (BSA) has decided to meet again on Monday evening.

Saturday’s meeting, which was joined by some members of the National Professional Boxing Promoters Association (NPBPA), deliberated more on the proposed new sanctioning model.

Now a physical meeting has been convened in Johannesburg on Monday evening as confirmed by at least three members of the outgoing board. And this is the outgoing board’s last meeting before a new board takes over on Tuesday.

Efforts to get a comment from BSA spokesperson Azwitamisi Nthangeni failed as he was not available.

Meanwhile, the outgoing board’s term ends on Monday and it coincides with the expiry of Erick Nsikayezwe Sithole’s contract as acting BSA chief executive officer.
